WNHGA has a great deal to offer its members. Above all, it is helping to create a new, lively image for women’s nine-hole golf, combining the challenge of the game with friendly competition and companionship.
The Women’s Nine Hole Golf Association was organized in 1973 to promote the interests of women’s nine-hole golf and to provide a governing body to maintain uniform standards for all of the nine-hole groups within the organization. Membership is open to nine-hole golf groups from private and semi-private clubs.
WNHGA currently serves 39 clubs in Northern California including the counties of Monterey, Kern, Tulare and all of California north of these counties. The Association is divided into four geographic areas (Central Valley, East Bay, Peninsula, and River Valley) in order to ensure relatively equal representation of each member club.
