The Oakdale Par Tee Niners were proud to have managed a Seashells & Sand Traps Invitational in this very uncertain year of the Pandemic. After instituting COVID Protocols for hosting the WNHGA Corena Green Classic for Junior Girls in August, 2020, we found that with a few additional changes it was possible to plan for a day of outdoor fun for women golfers in October.

It certainly meant some very different rules for play but with a little ingenuity and cooperation from the participants, we had a great day. We hosted 100 women in individual carts using tee times rather than a shotgun start. To keep social distancing working, dining tables were on the covered patio, 8’ apart and set for only one foursome. To make it possible for everyone to leave after having lunch without congregating, tournament prizes were Amazon Gift Cards emailed to the winners. All in all, a very successful day.
