My name is Kathy Magrino and I am a member at El Macero Country Club, just outside of Davis. This year I have the pleasure of representing the women golfers in the Peninsula and as Open Day chair for the board. When my youngest child left for college my husband and I were looking for activities to do together as empty nesters. We gave golf a try and fell in love with the game. I have always had a passion for preforming philanthropic work dating back to my collage days at Boise State University (Go Broncos!). I stayed actively involved both at the school, as well as the state level of the student nurse association. When I married my husband, I became involved with the Navy Officers Wives Clubs, serving many positions over the years. My passion for involvement continued during my parenting years as I served as President of many PTAs and PTOs. When I joined El Macero Niners I took on the position of team play captain (before ever having competed in one!). I am currently Co-Captain of the niners and serve on the house committee at the club.
From the beginning I have enjoyed every activity and event WNHGA has coordinated. I have greatly appreciated the opportunity to play new courses at the various WNHGA events, and cherished meeting all of the unique women involved in the organization. I look forward to serving with this wonderful group of ladies on the board and providing activities for all members to enjoy. Golf Happy!
