Vice President/Corena Green
As you can imagine, I love the game of golf, particularly the nine-hole groups who are under the umbrella of WNHGA, as I have been on the Board of Directors off and on for thirteen of the last nineteen years. Niners as a whole are fun loving women who enjoy the game of golf. Some are new to the game and some simply play in nine-hole groups due to time constraints. Whatever the level of golf, there is a place for you in this organization and I love to promote that concept.
On a personal level, I am a retired General Contractor and was responsible for building over seven hundred homes in the Bay Area. My husband and I retired in 1990 and took up the game of golf. We have been lucky enough to travel all over the world lugging our golf bags along. We now live in Oakdale and have six grandchildren between the ages of 19 and 30. There is nothing more fun than a family get-together, where two of our sons and three of our grandsons bring along their golf clubs and take on the “oldsters”. Last year we even were able to encourage our great niece and great nephew to begin playing the game. More fun for all!
I am looking forward to being your Vice President and Director of Junior Golf in the coming year and will hopefully see many of you at the WNHGA Corena Green Classic for Junior Girls, July 26, 2021 at the beautiful Valley Hi Country Club in Elk Grove.
